I’ve been rereading Delve. You have made a very brave and realistic hero in Chial. She’s obviously overwhelmed by fear & terror when the mystery man attacks the temple. AND she keeps her head on. Seek refuge with “the others”. (Not very good allies are they?) If that don’t work, lure him to a precipitous place and shoot him. When she’s safe, then she falls apart.
Thank you! I appreciate you saying so! I think too often, especially with girls, they’re not really portrayed as realistic people. So I try my best, especially with Chial, to make her a little more deep than one would expect!
